Errata Policy
This document establishes the formal policy and procedures for identifying, reporting, reviewing, and correcting errors in standards published on JimmyWagner.com.
1. Classification of Corrections
Corrections to published standards are classified as follows:
Class I — Typographical Errors: Spelling, grammar, punctuation, or formatting errors that do not affect substantive meaning. Corrected without version number change. Documented in internal records only.
Class II — Clarifications: Language improvements that clarify existing intent without altering requirements or definitions. Documented in public changelog. May trigger minor version increment (e.g., v1.0 to v1.1).
Class III — Technical Corrections: Errors in requirements, definitions, procedures, or citations that could affect implementation. Documented in public changelog with correction notice. Triggers minor or major version increment.
Class IV — Material Errors: Errors that could cause adopting organizations to act incorrectly or that materially misstate requirements. Triggers immediate correction notice, prominent changelog entry, and version increment.
